Ronald Lindhart
Director

Ronald Lindhart is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Banking Strategies International.

Since 2012, Ronald has led Banking Strategies International, LLC, a company that provides strategic and regulatory advisory services to banks and other financial institutions.

Ronald is also the lead independent trustee of The Community Development Fund, an open-end mutual fund whose investment objectives are focused on promoting the construction of additional, affordable housing by investing in debt securities deemed to be qualified for banks under the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977.

Prior to founding Banking Strategies International, Ronald was a career bank regulator with 37 years of experience with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Administrator of National Banks. His positions at OCC’s included Deputy Comptroller of the Currency for Compliance Management and Director for International Banking & Finance. He also managed the South Florida office for the OCC, at various times and in several capacities, for more than a decade.

In October 2008, after the Lehman Brothers collapse and immediately after financial rescue legislation was signed by President George W. Bush, Ronald joined a select tactical implementation team of OCC officials detailed to the U.S. Treasury Department to help establish the initial operations of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). TARP eventually recovered $442 billion of the $427 billion that was paid out to stabilize bank capital cushions and promote lending in the U.S. banking system. In May 2005, and at the specific personal direction of the Comptroller of the Currency, he led the critical evaluation of the effectiveness of the OCC's overall Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) bank supervision program in the wake of highly-publicized and very serious BSA/AML compliance lapses identified at Riggs Bank, N.A. of Washington, D.C. Riggs Bank was fined $25 million by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

Ronald holds a Master's Degree in Regulatory Policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Boise State University.

He is a thesis graduate of the American Bankers Association's Stonier Graduate School of Banking and also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia, the premier senior executive development arm of the U.S. Government.
