ORLANDO, FL — (July 6, 2026) — City National Bank of Florida (CNB), the state’s second largest bank with more than $28 billion in assets, has appointed Ryan Burrow as Market President for its Central Florida region. This strategic addition reflects CNB’s ongoing investment in Florida’s key markets and positions the bank to continue meeting the evolving needs of one of the state’s fastest-growing communities.

With more than 40 years of experience in corporate banking and institutional investment management, Burrow brings a leadership approach that will be instrumental in driving growth and strengthening CNB’s client centric culture. In his new role, he will oversee an Orlando-based team of seasoned bankers delivering customized lending and financial solutions to middle market and corporate clients.

“Ryan’s extensive experience and deep roots in the Central Florida business community position him to lead CNB’s next chapter of growth in a region that’s becoming increasingly critical to our state’s economic future,” said City National Bank Chief Wholesale Banking Officer Christian Sundblad. “Orlando and the surrounding communities are ripe with opportunities in a range of sectors, putting CNB in position to expand its market share through the growth of core business lines, new community partnerships, and the delivery of tailored banking solutions for our clients.”

This expansion comes as Central Florida, anchored by the Orlando metropolitan area, strengthens its position as one of the state’s most economically vibrant regions. According to the Orlando Chamber of Commerce, Orlando is the fastest growing among the 30 largest U.S. metros, with a population approaching 3 million residents and roughly 1,450 new residents moving to the region each week. The region supports more than 1.5 million jobs and generates over $217 billion in annual economic output, with a diverse economy spanning tourism, technology, aerospace, healthcare, and professional services.

CNB is growing its presence in the region through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and targeted investments in high‑growth submarkets, most recently marked by the opening of a new banking center in the Lake Nona corridor.  Since 2022, CNB has served as the official bank of the Orlando Magic, reinforcing its commitment to organizations that energize the region’s growth, culture, and community.

Burrow grew up in Central Florida, and after a successful banking career focused on the state of Florida from Atlanta and Miami, he returned to Orlando in 1990 to join SunTrust, where he managed its fast-growing asset-based lending team. Following his work in corporate banking, he transitioned to the investment management team at Sun Bank Capital Management before co-founding and building a highly successful institutional asset management business, which he and his partner later sold to Affiliated Management Group.

“My plan is to leverage the substantial resources of City National Bank to help Orlando and the people and companies that call Central Florida home reach their full potential,” said Burrow. “I have grown businesses my entire career and this is an amazing opportunity to help our bank grow in a Central Florida community that has meant so much to me and my family, and which will play an increasingly important role in Florida’s trajectory moving forward.”

Burrow earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Florida. He has demonstrated a longstanding passion for community leadership, serving on numerous boards and committees across Central Florida over the past 35 years.
